32-Year-Old Faces Attempted Murder Charge After Repeatedly Striking 56-Year-Old Woman At Hotel On 9W: NYSP
The Highland man also faces assault and obstruction of governmental administration charges, according to state police.

TOWN OF LLOYD, NY — A violent case of domestic abuse at a Hudson Valley hotel has led to the felony indictment of an Ulster County man, according to prosecutors.
New York State Police say that on Nov. 17, at 3:56 p.m., troopers from Highland responded to a hotel on US-9W, in the town of Lloyd, after receiving a report of a domestic dispute.
Their investigation found that 32-year-old Mark H. Cannon, of Highland, had been in a physical altercation with a 56-year-old woman, during which he repeatedly struck her, causing serious physical injury, according to state police.

Cannon was indicted by an Ulster County grand jury of felony second-degree attempted murder, two felony counts of first-degree assault, felony second-degree assault, and misdemeanor second-degree obstruction of governmental administration.
He was arraigned at the Ulster County Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail.
