47-Year-Old Arrested In Connection To Sexual Offenses Involving A 13-Year-Old Girl: NYSP
The Middletown man was released from Orange County Jail after posting bail, and will appear in Woodbury Town Court on Oct. 22.

MIDDLETOWN, NY — An Orange County man has been arrested in a state police probe into the sexual abuse of a young girl.
New York State Police say that the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), in Monroe, arrested 47-year-old Israel D. Torres Jr., of Middletown, after an investigation into allegations of unlawful sexual conduct involving the child.
Police say the investigation, which began in August, led to Torres Jr. being charged with misdemeanor second-degree sexual abuse (sexual contact with a person less than 14 years old); misdemeanor forcible touching; and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Torres Jr. is accused of subjecting a 13-year-old female victim to unlawful sexual contact on several occasions, according to state police.
He was arraigned in the Orange County Court Central Arraignment Part and initially remanded to the Orange County Jail. Torres Jr. has since been released after posting bail, and is scheduled to reappear in Woodbury Town Court on October 22.
