5-Time Convicted Felon Accused Of Having Illegal Drugs In Poughkeepsie

Police said a quantity of narcotics, cash and other evidence were seized during the execution of a search warrant.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 46-year-old man was arrested in Poughkeepsie after being accused of having illegal narcotics.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said it executed a search warrant Wednesday on Muldowney Circle in the Corlies Manor Apartment Complex.

Authorities said the search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Neighborhood Recovery Unit into drug sales in the area.

As a result, Kevin Williams, 46, was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Williams, who police said is a five-time convicted felon, was processed at police headquarters and held pending arraignment.

The Neighborhood Recovery Unit was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Emergency Services Unit and the Town of Poughkeepsie SWAT Team.
