$50,000 Powerball 3rd-Prize-Winning Ticket Sold In Mid-Hudson Valley

LIBERTY, NY — There were five third-prize-winning tickets sold in New York for the Dec. 23 Powerball drawing — and one of them was in the Hudson Valley.

New York Lottery officials said the winning tickets — each worth $50,000 — were purchased at:

• Sullivan County Food Mart, 12 Sullivan Ave. in Liberty
• Mini Mart, 64-15 108th St. in Forest Hills
• KRM Grocery Inc., 7503 37th Ave. in Jackson Heights
• Victory Convenience LLC, 1720 Victory Boulevard in Staten Island
• 7-Eleven Store #35084, 26 E. Naples St. in Wayland

The winning numbers for the Dec. 23 Powerball drawing are 9-14-17-18-53, with a Powerball of 6.

To win a third prize, customers must have correctly chosen five of the numbers plus the Powerball.

Winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
