71-Year-Old Stole Dump Truck From Hospital Garage: NYSP

The Poughkeepsie man was arrested over the weekend on felony burglary charges connected to the theft that happened in September.

TOWN OF WALLKILL, NY — The case of the missing dump truck has been solved, according to the NYSP.

The New York State Police say that on Sept. 7, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Middletown investigated a maintenance garage burglary at Garnet Health Medical Center, located on East Main Street in the town of Wallkill.

The investigation found that a 2016 Ford dump truck had been stolen. The vehicle was eventually located in the Town of Poughkeepsie after a traffic stop conducted by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

On Saturday, 71-year-old Michael P. Senk, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested and charged with felony third-degree burglary.

He was arraigned in the Central Arraignment Part of Orange County Court and released on his own recognizance.

Senk is scheduled to appear in the Town of Wallkill Court on November 12.
