Arlington School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

ARLINGTON, NY — The first day of school in Arlington is September 6 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Arlington School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/10 - 9/11: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/24: Early Dismissal (Professional Development Day)
• 10/31: Early Dismissal (Elementary)

November

• 11/6: No School (Superintendent Conference Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/6: No School/Parent Teacher Conferences (Elementary Students Only)
• 12/13: Early Dismissal/Parent Teacher Conferences (Elementary Students Only)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/15 - 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day Weekend)

March

• 3/8: No School (Superintendent Conference Day)
• 3/29: Early Dismissal (Professional Development)

April

• 4/15 - 4/22: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/23: Early Dismissal (Professional Development)
• 5/24 - 5/27: No School (Memorial Day Weekend)
