Arts Mid-Hudson Announces Upcoming Events
Events include the Ulster County Executive's Arts Awards and Queen City Arts weekend.

The Ulster County Executive's Arts Awards takes place Tuesday, June 7 at the Saugerties Performing Arts Factory.
Thursday, May 19, the public is invited to kick off the weekend with the new, monthly Towne Crier Cafe Dance Jam in Beacon at 7 p.m.

Friday, May 20, the Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck presents "Rock of Ages," a Tony-nominated Broadway musical phenomenon that takes audiences back to the Sunset Strip during the Reagan era.
This is Queen City Arts weekend, with an exciting opening of the Rose Gallery of the Arts at 330 Main St. in Poughkeepsie. Attendees will see Mill Street Loft and Poughkeepsie High School students' artworks on display Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22. The festive public opening is May 21 from 5-7 p.m. The gallery will be open 1-7 p.m.

Also in Poughkeepsie on Saturday night, the HV Folk Guild Poughkeepsie Chapter Coffeehouse features Linda Breithaupt at 7:30 p.m., who is at home with folk, gospel and blues with the occasional humorous tale.
May 21-22, noon to 6 p.m., is the beloved Beacon Open Studios. The public is invited to grab a map and see where artists make the work.
For dance aficionados, Kaatsbaan presents Jennifer Muller/The Works to its stage on May 21. May 22, the public may enjoy Local Delicacies with artist Alison Windfield-Burns at the gallery at Lifebridge Sanctuary, located at 333 Mountain Rd. in Rosendale from 2-4 p.m.
