Brooklyn Man Brandished Knife Towards Adult, Child In Hotel: NYSP

FISHKILL, NY — A disagreement at a Hudson Valley hotel led to the arrest of a Brooklyn man, according to New York State Police.

State police say that troopers from SP Wappinger arrested 39-year-old Joseph L. Sanchez, of Brooklyn, for second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say that Sanchez and the victim had been involved in an argument, and that during the argument, Sanchez brandished a pocketknife toward both the victim and a child.

He was arrested and taken to Wappinger for processing. Sanchez was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and is scheduled to return to court on April 28.
