Brush Fire In Orange County Causes Home Evacuations, School Closing
Town officials said there is no threat to property or life at the current time.
BLOOMING GROVE, NY — Some homes are being evacuated and an elementary school is closed Friday because of a massive brush fire in Orange County.
The fire started around the middle of the day Thursday in the town of Blooming Grove, closing Round Hill Elementary School Friday in Washingtonville, News 12 reported.
Blooming Grove town employees and equipment are being used to help fire crews, and town officials said there is no threat to property or life at the current time.
