Cannabis Shop Interviewing To Fill Jobs In Hudson Valley

MIDDLETOWN, NY — If you are looking for a job in an adult-use cannabis dispensary, the Orange County Cannabis Co. is hosting a career fair.

The fair — which is from 11 am. to 2 p.m. Friday — will be filling openings for multiple positions at the cannabis company at its future location in Wawayanda.

Positions include budtenders, security, fulfillment and runners.

Interviews will be conducted on-site, so attendees should bring resumes and identification. All jobs are for people age 21 and up.

Owner Howard Libron told Patch that he can’t wait to open his doors in the coming weeks to offer high-quality and tested cannabis products to the mid-Hudson Valley and surrounding areas.

“Having the opportunity to open an adult-use cannabis dispensary is surreal,” he said.

Finding a location, building out the store from scratch, selecting inventory and managing every step involved with a successful retail opening has been a challenge, Libron said, but it’s one he is very honored to undertake.

He said the company is looking to hire between 20 and 25 people in a range of positions.

“A history working at a cannabis dispensary or personally using cannabis isn’t a requirement,” Libron said, “but a passion for the cannabis plant is.

“I’m looking for people who support cannabis for both its recreational and medicinal features,” he said, “and are excited to educate others on the benefits and uses of the plant.”

Orange County Cannabis Co. is located at 1308 Dolstontown Road in Middletown.
