Chaplaincy Training Program at Vassar Brothers Medical Center

The new educational program is designed for those interested in developing pastoral skills

Vassar Brothers Medical Center’s Clinical Pastoral Education Program provides an opportunity for those interested in developing and deepening the essential skills of pastoral care. The internationally recognized program of pastoral care training is for clergy, deacons, lay ministers and religious volunteers.

The medical center is accepting applications for the next cycle, which begins Nov. 1 and runs through late May, and requires 15 hours per week. “This is the exciting first step for anyone interested to become a professional, certified chaplain,” said Rabbi Neal Loevinger, director of Spiritual Care Services at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
