5 Adults, 4 Children Injured In Christmas Evening Crash
There were reports of heavy fog conditions in Orange County at the time of the crash.
CRAWFORD, NY — Nine people were injured Christmas Day in a two-car crash in Orange County.
The Town of Crawford Police Department said the accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of State Route 52 and County Route 17.
Police said a 2020 Kia Telluride SUV was traveling north on County Route 17 when it entered the intersection with State Route 52 when it struck a 2013 Audi S4 that was traveling west on State Route 52.

The Kia was driven by a 42-year-old woman, and there were seven passengers: three adults age 75, 42 and 40 and four children ranging in age from 4 to 9.
The Acura was driven by a 21-year-old man. He was the sole occupant.

Police said all nine people were take to area hospitals. One adult and one child from the Kia were in critical condition. All others were in stable condition.
Crawford police said they are in the process of making notifications and will release additional information Wednesday.
The Town of Crawford Police Department was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, Town of Montgomery police, Shawangunk and Walden police and numerous fire and EMS departments.
