Cocaine, Meth Seized In Poughkeepsie Drug Sting: Police
A resident sold narcotics to undercover drug agents, according to police.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A local man is accused of dealing narcotics, including cocaine and methamphetamine.
Orlando Peterson III, 55, of Poughkeepsie, was charged Feb. 27 with criminal possession of a controlled substance third-degree with intent to sell, according to police.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook on Monday that Drug Task Force agents investigating narcotics sales in the area began purchasing drugs from Peterson.

On Feb. 27, task force agents executed a search warrant at Peterson’s residence on Garden Street, with help from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit (SWAT) and Poughkeepsie police.
During the search, police seized cocaine and methamphetamine packaged for sale and arrested Peterson, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said additional charges are pending against Peterson.
Peterson was arraigned in City Court of Poughkeepsie and is currently being held without bail, police said.
