Daughter Who Repeatedly Stabbed Her Dad After Arguing With Her Mom Over A Clogged Toilet Gets Prison
Her father sustained serious, almost fatal injuries in the knife attack, including collapsed lungs and severe blood loss.

OTISVILLE, NY — An Orange County woman behind a horrific domestic violence incident has learned her fate.
Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced that 37-year-old Kimberly Mann, of Otisville, was sentenced on Tuesday to seven years in prison to be followed by five years of post-release supervision, after previously pleading guilty to first-degree assault.
According to court documents, on August 14, 2024, Mann had an argument with her mother about a clogged toilet inside of the family home in Otisville. When Mann's father tried to step between Mann and her mother, Mann pulled out a knife she had hidden in her shirt and stabbed her father several times in the chest.

Law enforcement officers and emergency personnel were able to administer live-saving aid to the victim.
During plea proceedings, Mann admitted to intentionally causing serious physical injury to another person by means of a dangerous instrument, according to the district attorney.
"The horrifying facts of this case truly are a nightmare," Hoovler said. "Domestic violence is insidious and, as seen in this case, can be terrifyingly violent. Cases such as this one are incredibly challenging and while the defendant's acceptance of responsibility saved the family from the trauma of recounting the incident at trial, the significant prison sentence imposed is necessary to underscore the seriousness of the defendant’s actions. I praise the efforts of law enforcement and emergency responders who helped to save the victim’s life. I urge all victims of domestic violence to utilize the resources and support available to them from my Office and agencies such as Fearless! Hudson Valley."
Hoovler thanked the Town of Mount Hope Police Department and the New York State Police for their investigation and the arrest of Mann.
