There are several fares in Ulster County during the month of August.
Whether you long to sample fair food, stock up on farm fresh produce or listen to excellent music, there’s an Ulster County fair for you.

August 2 to 7

The Ulster County Fair takes place from August 2 through 7 at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz. The fair offers food, music, rides, games and fun for the family. The $15 admission price includes parking, rides and entertainment. You can find more information here.
August 4 to 7

The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice takes place from August 4 through 7 at 90 Main Street in Phoenicia. The event celebrates the human voice. Performances include opera, gospel, musicals, theater and more. Dates and times of performance vary. You can find more information here.
August 13
The Blueberry Festival is held each year in Ellenville. This year the festival takes place on August 13. Visitors can make a day of this fun event starting with a blueberry pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Exhibits will herald the Shawangunk Mountains and their cultural heritage. The street fair will include live music, children’s activities, raffles and great foods – including delicious blueberry goodies and a blueberry pie baking contest. You can find out more here.
August 19 to 21
Ready for some heartier fare? The 12th Annual Hudson Valley RibFest takes place from August 19 through 21 at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz.
This three-day event starts at 5 p.m. on Aug. 19 and will feature live music, barbecue and fun. There’s a barbecue contest, where the winners have the opportunity to advance to a national competition in Kansas City. Admission is $7 for adults, while children 12 and under are free.You can find out more here.
