Dealer Sells Fentanyl To Cops At Drug Hotspot: Police

A 21-year-old faces a felony drug charge following an undercover sting, according to police.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 21-year-old is accused of dealing drugs in the South Clinton Street area after undercover drug task force agents purchased fentanyl from him, according to police.

Micael E. Sedano, 21, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, on Feb. 14, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force received tips and complaints from the community for months regarding drug sales on South Clinton Street, police said.

Task Force agents began purchasing fentanyl out of an apartment off South Clinton Street, police said. According to police, multiple suspects were selling narcotics there, including Sedano.

Sedano was arraigned in Poughkeepsie City Court, and his next court date is March 13.
