Death Of 26-Year-Old At NY Facility For Disabled Probed
The male resident's body was discovered in a transportation van, according to police.
HYDE PARK, NY — State police have launched an investigation into the death of a 26-year-old man at New Horizons Resources Inc.
Trooper Krystal P. Paolicelli said the man, a resident at New Horizons, was found deceased Monday inside a transportation van owned by the agency.
State police were dispatched to the facility, at 201 Cream St. in Hyde Park, around 2 p.m. on Monday, police said. The van was parked at the facility at the time.

The agency serves individuals with developmental disabilities, according to its website.
Police did not release the man’s identity. His cause of death is still under investigation as of Tuesday.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the circumstances of the man’s death, in coordination with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
