Ex-Wallkill Correctional Officer Accused Of Child Sexual Assault: DA
The arrest follows a New York State Police investigation.
ULSTER COUNTY, NY — A former Wallkill correctional officer is facing child sexual abuse charges.
Thomas Banks Jr., 35, of Pine Bush, was arraigned Sept. 11 in Ulster County Court.
Banks is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, first-degree incest, and aggravated sexual abuse. He entered a “not guilty” plea during his court appearance, and he is next due in court on Nov. 18, court records show.

Banks’ indictment was the result of a New York State Police investigation.
Banks was working as a correctional officer in Wallkill at the time, according to the Ulster County District Attorney's office. While the investigation was in progress, he resigned from his position.

Banks was remanded to the Ulster County Jail, and he was listed as being in custody as of Monday.
