FBI Offers $15K Reward To Help Solve Hudson Valley Cold Case Killing
32-year-old Nancy Smith was found brutally stabbed to death in her New Windsor home 24 years ago, on Dec. 5, 2001.

NEW WINDSOR, NY — The FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons, responsible for the killing of Orange County resident Nancy Smith.
Smith, who was 32 at the time, was discovered dead in her New Windsor home at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, 2001. She had multiple stab wounds to her body.
Smith was discovered by family members after several attempts to contact her went unanswered.

The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in providing information about the killing.
"The FBI's New York Field Office is investigating the case along with the New York State Police and the New Windsor Police Department," officials said announcing the reward. "These agencies are dedicated to exploring every investigative avenue, including advanced DNA and forensic techniques, to bring closure to the family of Nancy S. Smith."
