Felony Arrest Made After U.S. Congress Member's Life Was Threatened: FBI, NYSP
A 34-year-old man was remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center, and will appear in court this week.
TOWN OF CLINTON, NY — State police and federal agents have arrested a Dutchess County man on charges related to threatening the life of a member of Congress.
New York State Police say their Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Poughkeepsie, in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Joint Terrorism Task Force (FBI-JTTF), arrested 34-year-old Christopher Moynihan, of Clinton, for the felony of making a terroristic threat.
State police say they were notified by the FBI-JTFF, on Saturday, that Moynihan had made threats to kill a member of Congress.

After the multi-agency investigation, Moynihan was arrested and arraigned before the Town of Clinton Court, according to NYSP.
Authorities did not specify which lawmaker was the target of the alleged threats.

Moynihan was remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, a $30,000 bond, or an $80,000 partially secured bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on October 23.
