FL Man Charged In Death Of FL Woman: NYSP
Authorities said the woman, who was found dead in a car, had recently arrived in the mid-Hudson Valley from Florida.
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — A man from the state of Florida was accused of being involved in the death of a woman who recently arrived in the town of Wappinger.
The New York State Police said, around 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation were sent to a home on Dorothy Heights in Wappingers Falls for an unresponsive woman in a car.
Police said Victoria Barnes, 43, of Sebastian, Florida, was found dead by responding emergency medical personnel and troopers.

An investigation led to the arrest of David Osterhoudt, 56, also of Sebastian, Florida.
He was charged with second-degree manslaughter, a felony.

Osterhoudt was arraigned in the Town of Wappinger Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail, $750,000 bond or $1.5 million partially secured bond.
He is scheduled to reappear in court Aug. 9.
