Flooding Possible In Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley

Heavy rain due to thunderstorms could cause urban and small-stream flooding.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A flood advisory was issued for parts of the mid-Hudson Valley.

The advisory is in effect until 3:45 p.m. for Columbia, Dutchess, Greene and Ulster counties, the National Weather Service said.

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas can be expected.

Heavy rain due to thunderstorms will cause urban and small-stream flooding. Up to an inch of rain has fallen.

Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
