New Details On Midweek Snow Storm's Impact On Hudson Valley Released

With a major snowstorm hitting the mid-Atlantic this week, new details have been released on what we can expect in the Hudson Valley.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — While forecasters initially predicted a significant snowstorm could impact the Hudson Valley this week, the latest data shows it is expected to track south of the region, with little or no impact here.

Kevin Lipton, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Albany, said Tuesday the region may experience some light snow Thursday from another system.

“Right now, it looks like the main impacts from the big storm will stay south of the Hudson Valley area,” Lipton said.

Forecasters currently believe the storm will track along the middle of the country, hitting states along the mid-Atlantic such as Virginia, before going out to sea.

As for the cold temperatures, expect that trend to continue for a few more days, according to Lipton.
