Joint Investigation Into Gunfire Leads To Cache Of Weapons: Sheriff
Cops report seizing an unregistered handgun, shotgun, unregistered AR-15 rifle, .22 caliber rifle, high-capacity magazines and ammo.

WOODSTOCK, NY — A strange gunfire incident in Ulster County led directly to a stockpile of weapons, according to a joint task force.
The Town of Woodstock Police Department and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office say a 22-year-old Woodstock man was arrested after an investigation into the unlawful discharge of a firearm.
On September 29, the Woodstock Police Department received a complaint that a firearm had been discharged from an apartment towards a roadway, an occupied home, and a nearby restaurant.

After Woodstock police requested investigative assistance from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office Detective Unit, a joint investigation found that a shotgun had been fired from within the apartment.
A search warrant was then obtained for the residence on Mill Hill Road.

On October 3, Town of Woodstock police and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office executed the search warrant with help from the Ulster County Emergency Response Team and the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team.
The search led to the recovery of an unregistered handgun, a shotgun, an unregistered AR-15 rifle, a .22 caliber rifle, high-capacity magazines, and assorted ammunition.
Woodstock police say Michael A. Odorisio was arrested and charged with three felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor second-degree reckless endangerment, and two counts of environmental conservation law related to the use and possession of firearms.
He was processed and taken to the Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court for arraignment.
