K9 Jet Sniffs Out Crack In Chevy Impala On Taconic, Vermont Man Arrested: NYSP
Troopers report finding $27,860 in cash and 72 grams of crack cocaine, during the stop in Pleasant Valley.

PLEASANT VALLEY, NY — A Taconic traffic stop led to a cache of crack and cash, according to troopers.
New York State Police say that on Sunday, around 9:18 p.m., members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a Chevrolet Impala on the Taconic State Parkway, in the town of Pleasant Valley, for traffic violations.
The driver, identified as 48-year-old Maynard Davis, of Brandon, Vermont, was accompanied by a female passenger who was also from Vermont.

During the stop, NYSP K9 Jet sniffed around the exterior of the Chevrolet and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics, police said.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of $27,860 in cash. Davis was also found to have around 72 grams of crack cocaine on him, according to troopers.

Davis was arraigned in the Town of Stanford Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail pending further proceedings.
