Law Enforcement Raids Poughkeepsie Commercial Property: PD

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Multiple law enforcement agencies raided a commercial property on Smith Street Wednesday, searching for evidence in an unspecified ongoing investigation.

Local police said they executed the search warrant at 44 Smith St.

Investigators seized evidence, which was taken to an off-site location for further processing, according to police.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New York State Police assisted city police with the search.

Police said the investigation remains active, and they declined to provide details or comment on the nature of the probe.

City records show the property is owned by On The Spot Taxi Inc., which purchased it in 2015.
