Main Street Traffic Stop Leads To Semiautomatic Handgun, 2 Magazines: NYSP
A 41-year-old Orange County woman had been driving with a suspended license, and the vehicle was not registered, according to state police.

ELLENVILLE, NY — New York State Police say that on Thursday, around 6:08 p.m., troopers from Ellenville pulled over a 2013 Hyundai traveling on North Main Street, in the Village of Ellenville.
The driver and only occupant, 41-year-old Nicole C. Petrone, of Wallkill, was interviewed, and troopers found that Petrone had been driving the vehicle with a suspended license, and the vehicle was not registered.
State police say that a search of the vehicle found an illegally possessed Sig Sauer P365 .380 caliber semiautomatic handgun and two magazines.

Petrone was arrested and taken to SP Ellenville for processing.
She was charged with felony second-degree criminal use of a firearm (possess deadly weapon loaded), felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (ammunition feeding device), misdemeanor third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and several traffic infractions.

Petrone was arraigned at the Wawarsing Town Court Central Arraignment Part and released with pretrial supervision in lieu of bail while awaiting further court appearances, according to NYSP.
