Man Wounded In Weekend Shooting In Fishkill

No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon, according to police.

FISHKILL, NY — A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being shot Saturday evening.

The shooting happened on Pappas Lane around 8:30 p.m., according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was initially treated at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall hospital in Newburgh, but was subsequently transferred to Westchester Medical Center.

Investigators said they do not believe the shooting was random.

“There appears to be no danger to the general public,” the sheriff’s office said, in an announcement Monday.

The office’s detective bureau is still investigating, with assistance from the New York State Police. No arrests were made as of Monday afternoon.
