Married Couple Arrested For 'Indecent Material Involving Minors'

The chiropractor and his wife possessed and promoted material depicting necrophilia, bestiality and bondage, according to media reports.

KINGSTON, NY — A high-profile married couple has been accused of unspeakable crimes against children, according to New York State Police.

The State Police Kingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested the husband and wife on Tuesday.

The Kingston residents, 33-year-old John F. Boyle and 33-year-old Danielle F. Scofield, were taken into custody after an investigation into indecent material involving minors, police said.

Boyle was charged with four felonies: promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17, possessing obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16, promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17, and possessing sexual performance by a child less than 16.

According to the Times Union, the obscenity charges are in relation to material that Boyle allegedly possessed and promoted, depicting necrophilia, bestiality and bondage, with children as young as 4 years old.

Scofield was also charged with felonies: promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17, possessing obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16, and possessing sexual performance by a child less than 16.

State police say the investigation started in October after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators found that the couple had been exchanging indecent material involving minors online.

Scofield and Boyle were arraigned in the City of Kingston Court on Tuesday, and are due to appear in the Town of Ulster Court on April 15.

According to several media reports, Boyle is a Kingston chiropractor, who runs Boyle Family Chiropractic.

"Boyle was found in possession of hundreds of images and videos containing child sexual abuse material and had shared several of the images via text message as well as mobile phone applications Session and Telegram with unknown parties," Sajaa Ahmed from the Ulster County DA's Office told the Daily Freeman.
