Regan was arrested following a July 20, 2024 incident in which he drove to a Monroe residence at night, then punctured the tires of a truck parked in the driveway, according to a press release from Hoovler’s office.
Regan left the scene and returned, and then a male resident confronted him, documents show. Regan drove his vehicle toward the resident in an apparent effort to hit him, prosecutors said. Regan got out of his vehicle, then doused the truck in the driveway with gasoline before setting it on fire, court documents show.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze. No one was injured.
According to police, Regan left the scene after starting the fire, then returned. He then fled from police, who captured him after a brief pursuit.
“Arson crimes are dangerous and the sentence imposed in this case accounts for the violent conduct of this defendant,” Hoovler said, in a news release. “Thankfully, the prompt response by police and fire departments ensured that this fire did not injure anyone.”
