New Attempted Murder Arrests In Main Street Quadruple Shooting

CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department announced additional arrests in connection with the July 5, 2024, quadruple shooting on Main Street.

On December 13, Jaimez Freeman was initially charged with one count of second degree attempted murder. However, after an investigation led by the Detective Division's Neighborhood Recovery Unit, Freeman now faces additional charges alongside two men.

On January 16, 18-year-old Glendale Wright and 33-year-old Shyquan Collins, who are both in the Dutchess County Jail for unrelated charges, were also charged in connection with the attack. Both were charged with four counts of felony second degree attempted murder, one count of felony second degree conspiracy, one count of felony first degree assault, and three counts of felony second degree assault.

In addition to the original charge of of second degree attempted murder, Freeman has been charged with three additional counts of second degree attempted murder, one count of second degree conspiracy, one count of first degree assault, and three counts of second degree assault. He is also currently incarcerated at the Dutchess County Jail.
