Newburgh Retailer Continues Lucky Lottery Ticket Sales Streak
One winning Cash For Life and one winning Powerplay ticket were sold for weekend drawings by one store in Orange County.
NEWBURGH, NY — There are 12 locations of Smokes 4 Less, from Hyde Park to Vails Gate, but it is the store on North Plank Road in Newburgh that sells winning lottery tickets time and time again, drawing buyers from hours away.
It has happened again, twice in two days.
New York Lottery officials announced one winning ticket worth $1,000 A Day For Life was sold for the Aug. 18 CASH4LIFE drawing. The ticket is worth a guaranteed minimum of $7 million.

They also announced one third-prize-winning Powerplay ticket worth $250,000 was sold for the Aug. 17 Powerball drawing. At the Smoke 4 Less on North Plank Road.
The store became famous in 2023.

It sold two $1 million tickets in November 2022, two seven-figure lottery tickets in January 2023 and a $2 million winning Powerball ticket in October 2023, ABC7 reported. Then in one week in March 2024, the smoke shop sold two million-dollar winning tickets, ABC reported.
