NYC Man Accused Of Drug Possession After I-87 Traffic Stop
Mushrooms were found by a K-9 officer in the center console of the man's car, police said.

PLATTEKILL, NY — A New York City man was accused of having illegal drugs after a traffic stop on Interstate 87.
The New York State Police said, shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, troopers from the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu on I-87 in the town of Plattekill for several vehicle and traffic law infractions.
The driver was identified as Darryl G. Tucker, 34, of New York City, police said.

While troopers spoke with him, K-9 Kell alerted them to narcotics in the car.
A probable cause search of the car yielded about 13 grams of psilocybin mushrooms found in the center console.

Tucker was searched, police said, and about 57.1 grams of cocaine-crack cocaine, 9.5 grams of fentanyl and 2 grams of MDMA were found.
Police said he admitted having the mushrooms in addition to what was found on his person.
Tucker was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, intent to sell, three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia-scales, second-degree criminal impersonation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator.
His arraignment in the Town of Plattekill Court is pending, police said.
Tucker was sent to the Ulster County Jail because he is a four-time convicted felon, according to authorities.
