NYC Motorcyclist Dies In Crash On Route 22 In Dover
Police said the crash, which is still under investigation, occurred when the motorcyclist tried to pass two vehicles at the same time.
DOVER, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Route 22 Monday in the town of Dover.
The New York State Police said the fatal crash happened Monday near Kitchen Corners Road.
Police said Rodney J. Clark, 73, of New York, was operating a 2016 BMW motorcycle south with one passenger on Route 22.

He tried to pass two southbound vehicles simultaneously in a passing zone, police said, and struck the lead vehicle as it was making a lefthand turn to exit Route 22.
Despite life-saving techniques by a responding trooper, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene by arriving paramedics.

No other injuries were reported, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
