Orange County Man Has Child Pornography: NYSP

Police said they found numerous electronic devices with images of child pornography at the man's home.

HAMPTONBURGH, NY — An Orange County man was accused of having child porn at his home.

The State Police Montgomery Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit started an investigation of child abuse material possessed by Jeffrey M. Rubin, 56, of the town of Hamptonburgh.

On May 5, a search warrant was executed at his address, police said, where numerous electronic devices were seized and found to contain numerous images of child pornography.

Rubin was arrested and charged Thursday with promoting sexual performance of a child under 17 and possession of obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies.

He was arraigned in the Middletown City Court where bail was set at $1,000 cash or $5,000 bond.

Rubin was sent to the Orange County Jail.
