Police ID Poughkeepsie Man Killed In Hudson Valley Crash Sunday

Two other people in the car were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

HYDE PARK, NY — Police have identified the man who was killed in a one-car accident early Sunday morning in Hyde Park.

Darion M. Dingee, 23, of Poughkeepsie, was driving a 2011 BMW around 5:45 a.m. Sunday in the area of East Market Street and Brower Boulevard when it collided with a tree on the north side of East Market Street.

Dingee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Results of an autopsy conducted Monday are pending toxicology results, police said.

The front seat passenger was identified as Matthew J. Truelove, 24, of Hyde Park. He was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by Northern Dutchess Paramedics for treatment of his injuries.

Garth S. Kitson, 22, of Hyde Park, was identified by police as the backseat passenger. He was also taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Hyde Park police were assisted by the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response, Hyde Park Fire Department, Northern Dutchess Paramedics and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit.
