Police Investigating 7-Car Crash In Town Of Poughkeepsie

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to give them a call.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Poughkeepsie police are asking for the public’s help in an investigation into a multi-vehicle car crash.

The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department said the seven-car crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27.

Police said the crash occurred on South Road — Route 9 — in the area of Buffalo Wild Wings.

A 2015 Honda Civic, driven by a 26-year-old Poughkeepsie resident, was traveling north on Route 9 when it struck six vehicles.

The driver of the Honda Civic suffered a serious physical injury, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing and Poughkeepsie town police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the Traffic Enforcement Unit at 845-790-4684.

The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department was assisted at the scene by the New Hamburg Fire Department, Empress Ambulance and the Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department.
