Port Jervis Man Arrested For Selling Fentanyl: Police
When he was arrested, police said, the man had fentanyl and cocaine.
PORT JERVIS, NY — An Orange County man was accused of selling fentanyl in Port Jervis.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said Thursday that Felix A. Pena, 27, of Port Jervis was charged with second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.
He was arraigned and sent to the Orange County Jail without bail.

Prosecutors said, around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in Port Jervis, Pena offered to sell 20 grams of fentanyl for United States currency.
When he was arrested, police said, he had about 23 grams of fentanyl and a quantity of cocaine.

Authorities said the arrest was the culmination of a four-month-long investigation conducted by the City of Port Jervis Police Department, the Orange County Drug Task Force, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.
Hoovler said that fentanyl is a deadly poison whose distribution has to be stopped before it can kill its users.
“It is only through the joint and dedicated efforts of the various law enforcement agencies that drug dealers can be held to account for their actions,” he said, adding that his office remains committed to rooting out the dangers that lurk in the communities.
