Route 17M Lane Closures Expected

From the New York State Department of Transportation, Hudson Valley Region:

Motorists are advised that lane closures are expected on Route 17M in the city of Middletown, Orange County, between Abe Isseks Drive and County Route 78, beginning Monday, August 8, through Saturday, August 13, while crews perform construction activities. Work is anticipated to occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
