Stonington Receives Higher Reimbursement Rate For School Renovation: Report
The higher rate could save the town millions.

STONINGTON, CT—The State Department of Administrative Services recently granted Stonington a reimbursement rate of 32 percent for the renovation and expansion proposed for the Deans Mill and West
Vine Street schools, the New London Day reports. The town requested a waiver to raise the reimbursement rate to 32 percent.
The town requested the waiver because a previously requested reimbursement rate of 25 percent would
adversely limit the scope of the project.
In a New London Day article, First Selectman Rob Simmons said the waiver could save the town millions of dollars.
