New York Lottery officials said the winning ticket — worth $18,819.50 — was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh.
The winning numbers for the Jan. 1 Take 5 midday drawing are 17-18-24-29-34, according to the New York Lottery website.

Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. Drawings are televised at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
