Teen Suspect In Main Street Slaying Arrested in Maryland: Police
The victim killed in the daylight shooting in Poughkeepsie was a 22-year-old Hyde Park man.
CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — An arrest has been made in connection to the daylight shooting death of a Hudson Valley man, according to the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
On October 3, around 5:20 p.m., officers responded to the corner of Main Street and Garden Street, in the City of Poughkeepsie, after a report of a shooting.
Officers found 22-year-old Gabriel Mosca, of Hyde Park, with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Detective Division, with assistance from the Technical Assistance Response Unit and Crime Scene Unit, launched an investigation, which led to the identification of a suspect.

On Thursday, 18-year-old Anthony D. Taylor, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested in Maryland, with the help of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the United States Marshals Service.
He was charged with second-degree murder.
Police say Taylor is entitled to an extradition hearing in Maryland and will be returned to Dutchess County on a future date to face charges related to the homicide.
"The arrest of Taylor in this violent murder is directly attributed to the determined and diligent effort put forth by numerous staff in the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department," the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said. "Further, resources and collaboration with state and federal partners led to the successful arrest and removal of a violent armed offender in our community."
