Thousands Of Central Hudson Customers Without Electricity

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Almost 14,000 Central Hudson are waiting for the power to come back on after a storm Sunday tore through the region.

Hardest hit, with more than 7,700 is Ulster County, as of 10:45 a.m. Monday. The towns of Esopus, Rosendale and Warwarsing each have more than 1,000 customers without electricity.

More than 4,400 customers in Dutchess County will also affected. Hyde Park, with more than 1,100, and the town of Poughkeepsie, with more than 900. were hardest hit.

There are also scattered outages in Orange, Putnam and Sullivan counties.

Central Hudson has not announced estimated time for restoration.
