Town Of Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Selling Drugs

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been conducting investigations into the sale of narcotics in the Main Street corridor.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A town of Poughkeepsie man was accused of selling drugs after a raid on his home.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force said Shawn Jackson, 42, of the town of Poughkeepsie, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with intent to sell, a felony.

The task force in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Neighborhood Recovery Unit has been conducting continuous and ongoing investigations into the sale of narcotics in the Main Street corridor of the city of Poughkeepsie as well as other locations in the town of Poughkeepsie.

On Thursday, members of the task force, the recovery unit and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at Jackson’s residence located at the Lakeview Arms Apartment complex in the town of Poughkeepsie.

As a result of the search warrant, numerous narcotics packaged for sale were seized from his home

Jackson is being held at the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office by the Drug Task Force pending arraignment in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court.
