Upstate Man Accidentally Kills His Wife While Working on Handgun
The gun discharged Thursday night, killing a 34-year-old mother of three.

CORINTH, NY – A 34-year-old upstate woman died Thursday night after a gun her husband was working on accidentally discharged, State Police said.
According to police, 35-year-old Eric Rosenbrock was performing maintenance on a handgun he legally owned when a round discharged and struck his wife, Ashley Rosenbrock, around 10:30 p.m. at their home in the Village of Corinth, about 18 miles southwest of Lake George.
Ashley Rosenbrock was taken to Saratoga Hospital where she died from her injuries, police said.

No charges have been filed against Eric Rosenbrock, who is a seventh-grade science teacher at Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School.
State Police said an investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office, but the results of an autopsy "are consistent with the information and evidence that has been discovered to this point in the investigation."

The couple was in the process of building an addition onto their home so each of their three children could have their own room, the New York Times reported.
