Victim Left With Severe Lacerations In Easter Domestic Incident: NYSP

TOWN OF WAPPINGER, NY — New York State Police say that a Wappinger Falls man was arrested for domestic abuse on Sunday.
Troopers responded to a home in the Town of Wappinger after receiving a report of a domestic dispute involving a knife.
Police say 38-year-old Ismael Quiles struck the victim in the face and then grabbed a knife lunging towards the victim's neck and head.

The victim was able to gain control of the knife, but received severe lacerations to her hands, according to police.
Quiles was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing, second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday in the Town of Wappinger Court.
