Wallkill Man Drives Drunk at 103 MPH: NYSP

Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent.

WALLKILL, NY — A man from Wallkill was accused of drunken driving after being stopped for going almost 40 mph over the speed limit.

The New York State Police said, around 5 a.m. Sunday, a trooper patrolling Interstate 84 in the town of Montgomery said he saw a 2019 Jeep Cherokee traveling west at about 103 mph in a 65-mph zone.

After stopping the car, the trooper identified the driver as Maycholl Perdoma, 23, of the town of Wallkill.

While speaking with the trooper, it was determined that Perdoma was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

Police said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent.

Perdoma was charged with driving while intoxicated and was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Montgomery Court June 20.
