Woman Arrested For Gas Station Armed Robberies: Police
Both robberies happened within minutes on the same day on the same stretch of South Road in the town of Poughkeepsie.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 28-year-old woman was arrested after she was accused of two armed robberies in the town of Poughkeepsie.
Julia E. Marcinak, 28, of Highland Falls, was arrested Monday by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
She was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree attempted robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies.

Police said, around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, there were reports of robberies involving a handgun about 10 minutes apart at the Chestnut Mobil gas Station, 2605 South Road, and the Speedway gas station, 2545 South Road, both in the town of Poughkeepsie.
Witnesses to both incidents said the suspect was a thin, white woman wearing a black parka-style jacket, with her face partially covered.

Police said, during the Speedway incident, employees were able to disarm her before she fled from the store. Officers recovered a semi-automatic-style handgun.
During the investigation, information was developed that identified Marcinak as the suspect.
On Monday, she was located by members of the City of Newburgh Police Department. They arrested her on unrelated charges and turned her over to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
Marcinak was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $50,000 bail, $100,000 secured bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.
She is due back in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court at a later date.
Poughkeepsie town police were assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the City of Newburgh Police Department, the Hudson Valley FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
