Woman Sent To Hospital After Being Ejected From Car
Law enforcement said the one-car crash was likely due to driver fatigue.
LAGRANGE, NY — A one-car crash, possibly due to driver fatigue, sent a woman to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating the crash which happened shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday on Route 55 near Sedgewick Road in the town of LaGrange.
Sheriff's deputies found that a 2011 Honda Accord with three occupants was traveling west on Route 55 when the driver lost control of the car.

It left the roadway and struck several trees, authorities said.
As a result, Samantha Mincey, 31, of Poughkeepsie, who was the front seat passenger, was ejected. She suffered serious injuries, sheriff's deputies said.

Mincey was initially taken by ambulance to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for treatment, but was later transferred to Westchester Medical Center.
Both the driver and rear passenger were taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities said all three people were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The sheriff's office said no charges have been filed at this time.
While the investigation is ongoing by the sheriff's office Detective Bureau and Crash Investigation Unit, driver fatigue appears to the primary factor.
The sheriff's officer was assisted at the scene by the New York State Department of Transportation and the Town of LaGrange Fire Department.
More information may be released at a later time, authorities said.
