Worker Slashed In Neck At Hudson Valley Amazon Facility: Police
The assault by a co-worker, leaving the man with a "significant" laceration, happened early Sunday morning, according to New Windsor police.

NEW WINDSOR, NY — A case of workplace violence left an Orange County worker seriously injured, according to police.
The New Windsor Police Department says that officers responded to the Amazon Distribution Center on Hudson Valley Ave., in New Windsor, on Sunday after a report of an assault.
Around 9:26 a.m., police found a 36-year-old man with a "significant" laceration to his neck.

The victim was treated and taken by New Windsor EMS to Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He received treatment for the non-life-threatening injury, and is listed as being in stable condition.
Soon after, police found a male suspect matching the description the victim gave them, and arrested 27-year-old Loryn-Yael Gardner-Lawery, of Middletown.

He was taken to the Centralized Arraignment Part in Goshen, and arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Martini and remanded to the Orange County Jail. Gardner-Lawery was charged with felony first degree attempted assault, and felony third degree criminal possession of a weapon.
